The reviews on here are highly unfair. While some may struggle to appreciate the episode it really is an example of how strong the writing and direction is of the walking dead. While Beth may be a B grade character, someone hard to relate to and often very bland the cast of supporting characters this episode really raised the bar. I too must admit Beth was bland at times and that it would have made sense to add a more engaging character such as Maggie into this scenario. Nevertheless this episode persists to prove why the new season is the best. The walking dead is a show that always limited looking at an urban landscape and preferred the rural setting however after three seasons mainly based within the woods it was a breath of fresh air to see Atlanta again. The hospital story line is definitely

needed as it has been years in a zombie apocalypse and seeing what else is happening in the world definitely thickens the plot. As for Beth i think she had come tremendously far. She used to be whiny and weak and while she arguably was both of those things by the beginning she has definitely developed from here naive roots. Her smashing the jar over the officers head and shooting all the walkers in the basement in the dark was amazing. It goes to show how much stronger she is, definitely surprised by her good skill at killing. By the end she is clearly a lot stronger. Instead of taking anymore of Dawns patronizing comments she

retaliates, she may have gotten a black eye but at least she is fighting. Noah was an amazing edition to the cast, only been here for one episode and I already like him more than Rosita. He's kind, caring and definitely someone the group could use. It was shocking to see him leave Beth behind but I am more than confident he will be returning as I believe he is the one with Darryl in the bushes. The ending was a great way to top of the episode as Carol arrives!Hopefully she will add a lot more dynamic and interest to the hospital story line but I cant hope wondering what Beth was going to do. She was approaching the doctor with a blade and this just goes far to show how Beth is a fighter. She has come a lot further than that girl who wanted to die in season 2 and is this time fighting to live; I hope she lives on. As for what I predict I believe that Noah ran into Carol and Daryl and explained that he tried to escape with Beth. Carol coming into the hospital unconscious on a stretcher is an act and she is in there to get Beth out and soon the whole group will be at the hospital to fight. To finish I believe the episode was great, I can see how some people may not enjoy it but as far as writing and development goes this definitely did the show a favor and it is definitely setting up for an explosive conflict. It was great to see the city and I hope we much more of it and I am desperately looking forward to seeing how this plays out!
